We are so excited that you're taking the time to come to our wedding. Many of our guest will be traveling to attend the wedding, some only a short bit while others are traveling from far away. Here we have compiled some information we think could be helpful.
However, in these crazy times we need to remind you to keep yourself updated on special travel restrictions as these can change in the blink of an eye. For information about possible travel restrictions to enter Sweden please see https://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se/the-public-health-agency-of-sweden/communicable-disease-control/covid-19/if-you-are-planning-to-travel/
If your are planning on flying to Sweden you want to go to Arlanda, Swedens biggest airport located just north of Stockholm. For those of you traveling in from the US we personally prefer flying with Lufthansa or United Airlines with a layover in Frankfurt over other international airports. Another option for some of you might be traveling with Icelandair and have a layover in Iceland. For some of you it might require more than one layover to travel to Sweden.
There are many different ways to get to and from Arlanda airport, and each has its time and place. Here we help you to decide which mode of transportation best suits your needs.
The cheapest option is Flygbussarna, a bus that goes to Stockholm Centralen in 45 minutes and costs between 100 and 150 SEK if you book through the app or online, but is usually more expensive if you buy it at the airport.
The middle of the line option is taking the regular SL Trains to Stockholm Central which costs about 160 SEK and take about 40 minutes.
The fastest option is the Arlanda Express a train that will take you into town in less than 20 minutes for around 300 SEK.
If trains and buses aren't your thing you can always take a taxi that will run for roughly 600 SEK. We would recommend either Taxi Stockholm or Taxi 020. They are different taxi companies and can be booked either by calling in or via their app. The fare should be fixed before the start.
Uber is also an option that tends to be a little bit cheaper than traditional taxi services, even though this isn't always the case.
Some of you might be planing on renting a car, in that case the best place to do so is at the airport.
